Meeting: 1/6/20
- Reviewed Rules and Quizzed Students on Kahoot!
- Game Thoughts/Questions during Mock Game
- Line up on alignment line, score behind you
- 9 power balls per alliance
- If one team is scoring fast, will see a lot more balls in the loading zone
- In Teleop, you can complete ~5 cycles back and forth from end to end at about 30 seconds per cycle
- Speed will be key; if balls roll away- loading will also be important
- Can you move through the trench? You can by may get foul if you are in the opposing side trench
- Last 15 seconds important to complete the hang
- Can use trench run to ferry balls to the other side
- Passing balls is a strategy or shooting across the field
- Balls may stack up on one side if one team scores better than the other
- Will be about 18 balls in play, can pickup on the ground and in the loading station; teams will focus on ground pick up
- If a team holds the balls, they can get a flag but may take a while before that happens and the ref would need to see it
- Fire balls down field to feed shooters (beware of penalty if it goes into the other side's trench)
- Auto- can pick up additional balls in trench and in center
- Team Resources:
- GSheet is for contacts, key information that is not changing- Please check and confirm if student and parent emails are correct
- Slack- is for texting, short discussions. Please review slack channel purposes in both Gsheet under slack tab and in slack
- Smartsheet is being used for timeline generation and for look ahead reports. To sort all team activities for each function and for focus on specific tasks for the week
- Wiki pages- used to house and organize team technical data and links to FIRST references
- Website is forward facing and is for highlighting team activities, etc. This is under development by our students!
- Budget process: We are now in purchasing mode. Process will be for students to review their requested purchases with their mentor first. If good, then put on the wishlist. Then either Larry or Ms. Carl will approve and highlight to GBEF for purchase. GBEF will approve, purchase and log in order date, receipt date and delivery date. We have budget to purchase some items that may not be used on the robot but would help the team function better so please evaluate all options. We can use some of the items during the summer workshops as well.
- Holidays: We will still be meeting on 1/20 and 2/17 as we need everyday during build time.

Spirit wear- voted on black sweatshirts and hats. PR group will order.
Shooter Intake group summary-
- 2 wheel shooter: will use KOP wheels, with chain 4 sprokets, mini CIM or Neo brushless, vex planetary gearbox. Cardboard, 2 belts and mini CIM needed.
- Hanging Climb- parts needed: sleeve bearing carriage (2), single rail extrusion (2), extended corner bracket (12) and double acting round body air cylinders (2). Pneumatics will be used for programming group so they can share the air tank.
- Drive base: 6 in colson wheels, insert hub, omni wheels. 6 Hubs from Vex. Also need parts for transmission. Alex to draft list.
- Programming- 4 in green compliant wheels, bag motor, talon SRX, Vex Color sensor, Planetary gearbox, limit switch, Pneumatic piston.
- Bundle of valves from Andymark
- Field Elements- Mike to cover this.
- Carpet- need to confirm size needed. Larry to get from his neighbor.
- PR- need to order additional buttons.
Goal is not to mess with last years robot (or remove parts). Taking parts from robot from 2 years ago.
Prototyping to be done by end of day WED and start CAD on Sat, 1/18. Assigning names to disciplines next Monday, 1/13. Prototypes will not look pretty, focus on functionality.
